About the Event
Foothills Brass Quintet repertoire ranges from Renaissance to ragtime, Bach to the Beatles, with a healthy dose of jazz, Dixieland, blues and even Country classics! Foothills Brass will take the audience on a journey through our favourite music from the Baroque splendour of Handel to great movie themes, from the Blues to Gershwin and Cole Porter, from Dixieland to the Beatles.

Wilson Hicke is a 19 year old aspiring jazz artist from Okotoks. He loves this genre as it is characterized by its improvisational nature, rhythmic complexity, and rich harmonic language. He loves how jazz can transform the mood of a room. He has performed at black tie events, corporate events and has competed provincially in both jazz and musical theatre.
