Outreach

As well as being a world-renown chamber music group, Foothills Brass is dedicated to presenting meaningful and educational programs wherever they go. Recognizing the importance of concert societies’ role in bringing outreach to their communities, Foothills Brass has several highly-acclaimed educational shows that have delighted audiences across North America, and keeps them constantly in demand.

In fact, over their 30-year history, Foothills Brass has presented an average of over 100 educational shows a year…meaning Foothills Brass has played for nearly a million students!

Our programs for younger students include The Building Blocks of Music and the Time Machine. Each of these shows present a wealth of ideas through an extremely entertaining and kid-friendly presentation. Teachers are raving...

Explorations, our program for high school students, provides a in-depth look into the joys of making music and taps their everyday experiences, pulling them out of their Ipods and closer to live music than many have been before!

Foothills Brass has presented masterclasses all over North America for universities and high school instrumental music programs. Presentations have included Universities of Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, British Columbia, Alberta, Prince Edward Island, and Mount Allison University.
